Dr. Min Lu is a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese medicine specialist at Five Elements Acupuncture & Wellness, providing holistic health care to patients of all ages in Gaithersburg and throughout Montgomery County. She earned her master’s degree from the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine, where she received extensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine, functional medicine, anatomy, and physiology.

During the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Dr. Lu was inspired by the positive impact of minimally invasive therapies such as acupuncture and massage on athletic recovery and performance. That experience strengthened her passion for helping patients achieve healing, balance, and long-term wellness through integrative medicine.

By combining Traditional Chinese Medicine principles with modern medical knowledge, Dr. Lu provides individualized treatment plans designed to help patients achieve healthier, more active, and pain-free lives. She believes in treating the root cause of illness while supporting the body’s natural ability to heal.

Dr. Lu has advanced clinical training in gynecology and reproductive health. She studied under Professor Wang Biqin, a renowned Traditional Chinese Medicine gynecologist in Beijing, and is currently a member of Professor Guo Zhiqiang’s National Inheritance Studio. Her clinical focus includes infertility, ovarian dysfunction, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), menstrual disorders, menopausal syndrome, pelvic inflammatory disease, vulvar leukoplakia, postpartum recovery, and other women’s health conditions.

She has a special passion for supporting fertility and women’s reproductive health. In the past 5 months of 2026, more than seven patients under her care have successfully achieved pregnancy through individualized integrative treatment plans combining acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, lifestyle guidance, and wellness support.
